Skill Rarities and Armour: Dungeon Exiles - 0.3.1

Hello everyone! Today I have Dungeon Exiles 0.3.1 where I'll be covering the new passive skill rarity system, general game balance, the new armour stat and I'll be giving you a teaser for the new class! So let's get into it!

What's new?

Passive Skill Rarities

In Dungeon Exiles 0.3.1, for the most part, skill prerequisites have been removed and have been replaced by rarities. Currently there are only three rarities: Common, Uncommon and Rare and the idea is that, the prerequisite system felt too restrictive. From playtesting I noticed that many, many passive skills weren't ever seen by players due to the prerequisite system. So I'm hoping with the new rarity system it should make each run feel a lot more different.

Game Balance

So, this part is going to be more technical:

Strength

Strength no longer grants: +1 to Maximum Physical Attack Damage

Strength instead grants: 2.5% increased Physical Attack Damage

This strength change was needed as Warrior was getting far too much damage without any investment. So to compensate, new items have been added to help the Warrior:

Moreover, many of the Warrior's passives have been buffed to help him along.

Critical Strike Chance

Most sources of Critical Strike Chance have been heavily nerfed as the crit rogue archetype was massively overperforming. In a lot of cases, crit rogues were able to kill Valthorin before he could even summon Okor. Rogue has gained a few new passives to assist in their damage to compensate.

Class Base Stats Buffs

I noticed that certain classes, such as the Rogue and the Mage could be a bit unforgiving at the start of a run, so all classes have received additional base stats to help them along.

Warrior: Now has 10 Armour

Rogue: Now has 15% Dodge Chance

Mage: Now has 10 Shield on Combat Start

Armour

Armour is a new stat that provides percentage damage reduction for physical hits. The Warrior starts with 10 Armour (which equates to roughly 9% damage reduction), and new items and passives have been added to support Armour.

New Class

Lastly, I'm here to tease the new class that should (hopefully) be coming to Dungeon Exiles in the next patch.

This new class will be unlocked by defeating Wraithlord Valandros!

Closing Words

But yeah, that is pretty much everything I wanted to cover for Dungeon Exiles 0.3.1! I hope you enjoyed and hopefully I'll catch you in the next one! Peace!
