Adding Potions and Dialogue - Dungeon Exiles 0.2.6

Hello everyone! It's a little bit late, but here's a new devlog none the less! So today we have patch 0.2.6 where I've added potions and dialogue to Dungeon Exiles! So, let's get right into it.

What's new?

Potions

In Dungeon Exiles 0.2.6 potions can now appear in shops, offering you multiple different powerful effects. Such as increased Attack Damage, Health and Shield Generation, Attack Speed, Mana Regen and there is also the very powerful Potion of Fury that increases ALL damage dealt, however, it only lasts for a single combat, so you'll want to use it only when you need it!

To use potions you'll need to open your food inventory by pressing "C" (because it is currently attached to the Character Sheet). Once your food inventory is open you can click on your potions (while not in combat) to consume them. Once consumed they'll be active for a certain number of fights (as stated on the potion). I am thinking of slightly reworking this so that potions can be activated during combat, however that will come at a later date.

This is how a potion effect looks in combat

Dialogue

In Dungeon Exiles 0.2.6 bosses (so, the Skeletal Behemoth and Cyromancer Valthorin) now have dialogue! Before a fight starts they'll say their line, and you don't need to worry because combat doesn't until they've finished their dialogue so you don't need to worry about your buffs expiring or the boss getting in a few cheeky sneak attacks.

The idea of this dialogue system is that it allows me to give more personality to the bosses and will allow me to flesh out the lore of the game, this will be important for later, especially with my next update as I'll be releasing Dungeon Exile's third floor: The Cursed Crypt!

I hope you enjoyed and hopefully I'll catch you in the next one!

Peace!
